Disability Awareness

At Ashish, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to thrive. This page is dedicated to raising awareness about the barriers that people with disabilities face and how we can all play a part in removing these obstacles. From physical spaces to social attitudes, we believe that breaking down barriers starts with understanding, empathy, and action. Join us as we explore ways to create a more accessible world, empowering individuals of all abilities to reach their full potential. Together, we can build a society where inclusion is not just a goal, but a reality.

Through our community outreach program, we are working to raise awareness about autism and other developmental disabilities in the heart of West Delhi. Through engaging street plays and direct interactions with local communities, we aim to break down the societal taboos and stigmas that often surround these conditions. We are making efforts to unite families in support of their differently-abled children, offering them not only a sense of community but also access to accurate counseling and guidance. Together, we can empower families with the tools they need to foster their child’s development and growth, creating an environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

What does it mean to be inclusive

AFDA has been nothing short of an exceptional because I have interacted with different backgrounds and students with different kinds of disabilities also. So, connecting with them on a personal level and helping them teach, doing different activities with them has been very good for our personal development. We also connected the admin group with mainstream schools and special schools, which was very useful for the organization is what we think.
